Special Food Days in January 

Today is National Peanut Butter Day and later this month is National Chocolate Day (January 29). It seems as though there is a special food day just about every day and for just about every kind of food. Why is that? Is it because food elicits fond memories and happy feelings? What happens when our loved ones lose their memories, does food still hold the same place in their hearts?

For caregivers of those living with progressive cognitive disorders like Alzheimer’s disease, the book Dancing with Elephants could help create you create your own roadmap for helping your loved one come to terms with the changing conditions of dementia.
