CHECK YOUR FINANCIAL LITERACY IN APRIL

April is National Financial Awareness Month. One of the best preventive measures caregivers can take to reduce future financial vulnerability during the caretaking journey of loved ones with dementia is to put plans in place to secure your loved one's legal and financial affairs. An undue burden can be placed on caregivers when pre-planning is not done upon diagnosis.

When Is It Time for Skilled Care?

 

Early in the caregiving journey it can be difficult to think of the future and to consider options for higher levels of care. However, making plans for the possibility of nursing home care for your loved one, should that be needed, is prudent.
